This is a placeholder privacy policy for the AIS Insights private beta. It explains in plain language what we collect, why, and what your rights are. We’ll replace the placeholder company details before public launch.
1. Who we are
“AIS Insights” refers to the AI search analytics product. (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions, contact privacy@aisinsights.com. If you are in the EU/UK, you can also contact our data protection lead at the same address.
2. What we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, work email, company name, and role.
- Workspace configuration. The brand names, prompts, competitors, and topics you choose to track.
- Usage telemetry. Pages you view in the app, features you use, errors the app encounters. We use this to fix bugs and prioritise improvements.
- Communications. Messages you send us via contact forms, email or in-app chat.
- Cookies. See our cookie policy.
3. What we don’t collect
- We do not collect personal data about your customers. AIS Insights analyses public AI-generated answers, not your customer base.
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not use your private workspace data to train any third-party AI model.
4. How we use it
We use what we collect to (a) provide and improve the AIS Insights service; (b) communicate with you about your account, billing, support, and product updates; (c) keep the service secure and prevent abuse; and (d) comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases (EEA / UK)
We process your personal data on the basis of contract (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the service), consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing communications), and legal obligation where applicable.
6. Sharing
We share data only with vetted sub-processors needed to operate the service (for example, our cloud hosting provider, transactional email provider, and customer support tool). A current list is available on request to privacy@aisinsights.com.
7. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).
8. Your rights
Subject to your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@aisinsights.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after, to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Telemetry is aggregated or deleted after 13 months.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to staff who need it to operate the service. We log and audit access to production systems.
11. Children
AIS Insights is a B2B product not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data about children.
12. Changes
We will post material changes to this policy on this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email.
