The AIS Insights MCP server, answered.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to tools and data. Think of it as a plug between your assistant and AIS Insights.
Which assistants work with it?
Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and LM Studio, plus other assistants that connect to remote MCP servers with a sign-in. Using Claude? Follow our step-by-step guide to connecting AIS Insights to Claude.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in with your AIS Insights account and approve the assistant. You can disconnect it from your account settings at any time.
Can my assistant change my setup?
Not yet. Today it reads your data and answers. Making changes for you, like tracking a new competitor or adding a prompt, is coming soon, and you'll confirm each one.
What data can it read?
The projects you have access to: your prompts, your competitors and every metric on your dashboard, across ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity and Gemini, for the models on your plan.
Where does my data go?
The data your assistant reads passes through that assistant, under its provider's terms. It only reads what you ask about, and only from projects you can see.
