What the connector does
AIS Insights runs the prompts your customers ask across up to seven AI models every day, and records which brands each answer names, which websites it cites and how it describes them. The connector gives Claude the same data your dashboard shows, so you can ask about it in a conversation.
- Visibility. How often AI models name you, over time, by model and by topic.
- Competitors. Share of voice, and the prompts where a rival is named instead of you.
- Sources. The websites and pages AI models cite, including your own and the ones they cite without naming you.
- Sentiment. How answers describe you, what drives it and which sources pull it down.
- Shopping. How your products show up in AI shopping answers, and your share of shelf.
Connect it in Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Find AIS Insights in the directory and choose Connect. Or choose Add custom connector, name it AIS Insights and paste
https://mcp.aisinsights.com. - Sign in to AIS Insights when Claude sends you there, and approve the request.
- Start a new chat. AIS Insights is now in the chat's tools menu, switched on.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your Claude organisation may need to add the connector for everyone first. Each person still signs in with their own AIS Insights account.
Ask your first questions
Claude starts by listing the projects you can read and the dates each has data for, so you can name a project or let it pick the only one you have. Some questions to start with:
How did my visibility change over the last 30 days, and on which model?
Which prompts am I losing, and which competitor wins them?
Which websites do AI models cite for my topics, and which ones never mention me?
What's driving negative sentiment about my brand this month?
Compare my share of voice with my two closest competitors.
Each question can cover up to 92 days. Ask about a longer stretch and Claude splits it into windows.
Make changes from the chat
If you're an owner or admin of the organisation a project belongs to, Claude can also act on what it finds: add a tracked prompt, add a competitor, create a campaign or tag a prompt. Claude shows you each change and asks you to confirm it before anything is saved. Nothing the connector does deletes data.
Members who can view a project but not edit it can ask about everything, and Claude doesn't offer them the changes.
No account yet? Start in the chat
Connect AIS Insights and create your account when you sign in. Then give Claude your website. It researches your brand, drafts the prompts and competitors to track, checks them with you, and creates your project once you've agreed them.
What Claude can see
- Only your projects. Claude reads the projects your AIS Insights account can read, and nothing else.
- Only when you ask. The connector answers Claude's requests in your chats. It doesn't send your data anywhere on its own.
- Your sign-in, not a shared key. Claude connects as you, with your permissions. Change your role in AIS Insights and what Claude can do changes with it.
To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude's settings. You can also end the connection from AIS Insights: open Account settings, then AI assistants, and disconnect Claude under Connected apps.
Questions
Does the connector work with other AI assistants?
Yes. ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and other assistants that support remote MCP servers can connect to the same address. Account settings, AI assistants in the app has the steps for each.
Can I connect a tool that can't sign in?
Yes. A project owner or admin can create an access key in Project settings, Integrations. A key works for one project only, and can be view-only or allowed to make changes.
Why doesn't Claude see a project I expect?
Claude sees the projects your AIS Insights account can read. If a project is missing, ask an owner of its organisation to invite you, then start a new chat.
Who do I contact for help?
Email hello@aisinsights.com with what you asked and what Claude answered, and we'll look into it.
